Sadie reads

Every writer needs some help.

Whether you need someone to find plot holes or typos, to discuss story direction, or to rearrange sentences, I've got your back!

In this year of 2024, GameLit is taking the world by storm. Light novels, isekai, LitRPG: terms that didn't exist twenty years ago are now necessary descriptors for a solid percent of the books on Amazon.

Along with these new subgenres, websites that host webnovels are also surging in popularity. While big publishing houses lose more and more money, people are willing and able to directly pay independent authors per chapter. And how do they find those authors? Through websites like RoyalRoad and ScribbleHub.

Patreon and Kindle Unlimited bring in tens of thousands of dollars monthly for authors, many of whom write progression fantasy stories and their like. It is no longer necessary to go through the 125-step process our parents and grandparents had to go through to become paid authors. Now all we need to do is write, make a few accounts online, and publish.

But we authors still have our pride. We still want to write the best stories we are capable of writing. An enticing plot and good storytelling will draw in readers. Solid grammar and spelling will keep those readers.

How can we be sure our plots and grammar are up to snuff? By hiring readers and editors to review your story before sending it out into the world.

As yet, there still aren't many who specialize in GameLit webnovels. But I, after reading far too many isekai stories, do.

Let me work with you to make your book the best it can be!

"Did an incredible job and delivered very fast. Loved reading the commentary as it was very useful but also very funny. The reader report included great feedback on what the story did well and really helpful constructive criticisms as well as things to do further along in the plot. Really enjoyed working with Sadie and will 100% do so again!"

"Sadie M is an exceptional editor! Working with them was a pleasure. They nailed every aspect of my story editing. A true professional. I highly recommend their services and look forward to collaborating again in the future."

- ClarenceMoore

"Sadie was extremely capable of pointing out areas where questions could be asked and while many times, I myself knew how to answer them, she proved to me that there was work that needed to be done to provide a proper level of clarity to the reader. I look forward to working with her again for her work on this project has already been invaluable."

Reading services

Alpha reading is a reading that's done while the writing is still ongoing. It focuses more on if the plot/premise is marketable, and any major flaws in the writing style.

If you've written the first few chapters of a novel and aren't sure if it's worth continuing, this is the service for you!

beta reading

Beta reading is a reading that's done when the novel or first draft is complete. It focuses more on overarching plots, finding inconsistencies, and seeing if there are any issues that would put off readers.

If you have a full manuscript and need someone to make sure everything makes sense and the book is good to go, this is the service for you!

about me

Many years ago, I was walking home from the local coffee shop in Arizona with a latte when I was attacked by Truck-Kun.

A few hours later I awoke to discover I had been reincarnated into a black hole which took the shape of a cat. I now wander the universe, napping and reading about others who faced a similar fate.

Turns out, there's pretty good wifi in space.

Who knew!
